WEDNESDAY, JULY 9: PEC Meeting to be held at the
farm of Rob Bryan on Mahood Road in Butler (just behind the Unionville Fire
Station). Please feel free to contact us if you need directions.
Time: Hot dogs and hamburgers at 6:00 p.m. - the meeting will start
at 7:00 p.m.
We will have a round pen demonstration as well as discuss current PEC

JULY 21 - 23: THREE DAY TRAIL STEWARDSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP.
JULY 24 - 26: THREE DAY TRAIL STEWARDSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP.
Both workshops are held at the Super 8 Motel, S. Atherton St.,
(Business 322) State College, PA 16803.
TRAINED TRAIL STEWARDSHIP VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO ASSIST ONE DAY EACH

AUGUST 19th - 21st: AG PROGRESS DAYS Pennsylvania's largest
outdoor agricultural exposition Sponsored by Penn State's College of
Agricultural Sciences, the event is held at the Russell E. Larson
Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs, nine miles southwest of
State College on Pa. Route 45. We're planning to set up the Equine
Learning Center.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 19 - PEC Board of Directors meeting at the PSU Ag Progress Days
SEPTEMBER 16th: PEC meeting held at St. Vincent College - Latrobe, PA at
Placid Hall in the Foundation Room. Guest speaker is James Kazmarek, retired PUC/DOT officer from
Clarion County. He will have a presentation on "The DOT and You." Please bring with you to
this meeting: the gross vehicle weight of your truck which you will find on the side panel of the
driver's door (not the weight on your owner's card). Also bring the gross vehicle weight of your trailer which
you will find on the sticker on your hitch or on the goose neck. Jim will answer all your questions about
truck and trailers being overloaded, who needs a medical card or who should have a CDL license for driving
their big rig! There will be a $3.00 speaker fee collected at the door.
Directions from the East and West: take Route 30 to the red light to the entrance of St.
Vincent College. This is just west of the red light at the Latrobe Airport. Drive back towards the college
until you come to the Basilica Church which will be on your left, you are to park in this lot. You will walk
around the left side of Basilica and go about 500 ft. There will be a class room building on the right, this
is Placid Hall. Meeting is in the Foundation Room which is on the second floor. For more directions

NOVEMBER 11th: PEC dinner meeting (for those who would like to come early and eat before
our meeting) at Bud Murphy's Bar and Restaurant - Connellsville, PA. Have dinner in our special PEC
reserved room at 6:00 pm followed by our meeting at 7:00 pm. Speaker is to be announced at a later

Directions from the North and South: take Route 119 to the north side of Connellsville.
On Route 119 at the red light at the McDonaldÂ’s, turn onto McCormick Ave as if you were going up to midtown
Connellsville. Then turn right onto the first street past McDonalds. You will see large sign for Bud Murphy's
just behind the McDonalds. Tell them you are with the PEC in the back room. (Bud Murphy's 724-628-9884)
